Farewell to Facebook

March 26, 2018

After considering life without Facebook, I decided to delete my account, and I like it!

One of the things I've learned from the process is just how hard Facebook makes it for you leave, like the saying goes; if you're not paying for the service then you're the product.

Finding a clear description of how to delete (permanently remove) all your information from Facebook's servers, is very hard, harder than you might expect.  While it is relatively simple to find even on Facebook how to 'deactivate' your account, that is not the same thing as deleting.  By deactivating, all your information remains on their servers, you just can't use it...  that should tell you something.  It did for me.

The most frustrating thing about deleting a facebook account is Facebook's support page for deleting your account, which doesn't actually tell you how or show you where to do it.  The page only says what the ramifications are of deleting, when I read this I responded it was not helpful or honest, especially for a multibillion dollar corporation which has intimate knowledge of millions of people.

Personally, I have no serious issues with the US Government, however I do growing concerns with the Oligarchs who have brazenly taken more and more control of the peoples government and our society.

So I'll cut to the chase.  Here's the link to follow to permanently delete your Facebook account http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=delete_account

You will need to be logged in, and you will come to a page that has this on it.  Click "Submit"

That will take you the Red Pill or Blue Pill choice page.  Type in your password, and CAPTCHA and click 'Okay' and wait 14 days and see just how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Or, click 'Cancel' and wake up in your bed and believe what ever you want to.

I chose the Red Pill, I hope you do too.
