As planned, I have not restored the bike to anything near showroom condition but to a good serviceable trail bike. Indeed I went a little further and have it registered for the street (as convenience for going between trailheads) and registered under Maine's new Antique ATV rule (see the lifetime yellow sticker) that allows me to register it for $45 and will never need to be trail registered again as long as I own it.
If you have a bike, three wheeler or four wheeler that is at least 25 years old you might want to take advantage of this program.
A one time $45 registration fee is a substantial savings in annual cost!
I really enjoy these old off highway motorcycles. They were affordable, simple to work on and ride, and to this day ,still reliable for fun on the trails!
